Basil Yarrow | Natural Hair Wash 4oz

4 reviews
Herbal hair wash made with Basil and Yarrow.

Yarrow is a naturally cleansing (it contains natural saponins) astringent, and it has anti-bacterial properties that can help reduce dandruff and itchy + oily scalp. Basil encourages hair growth through its circulatory properties and adds shine!

Inspired by Ayurveda, these herbal hair washes are the best way to wash your hair and skin. Herbal hair washes are made from powdered herbs that encourage a healthy scalp and beautiful hair. Ditch the chemicals and allow our natural hair products to cleanse, nourish, and bring out your inner glow.

WHAT'S INSIDE?

Powdered herbs. That’s it!

WHY MAKE THE SWITCH TO HERBAL HAIR WASH?

  • Herbs do it better
  • Reduce your waste
  • Also a great dry shampoo
  • Clean, happy hair and scalp
  • Made from organic ingredients
  • Travels well and great for camping
  • Makes a great face and body wash
  • Replaces your shampoo and conditioner
  • Natural, vegan, non-gmo, and always cruelty free

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

It's pretty simple, but definitely a different experience than your typical detergent-based shampoos and conditioners!

  1. Mix 1-2 tsp powder with plenty of water in a small bowl
  2. Apply to wet hair and massage paste into scalp
  3. Let sit 1-2 minutes or longer for oily hair
  4. Massage entire scalp while rinsing

The longer you let Messy Magic sit in your hair, the more oils it cuts through. A wet brush can be helpful if you have long hair. Messy Magic does not suds (it’s still cutting through oils, I promise!) and should be kept away from your eyes.

Herbal hair washes can be paired with our herbal hair mask, apple cider vinegar scalp rinse, hydrating mists or used by themselves as a co-wash.

Some herbs cause allergic reactions in certain individuals. Always try a test patch and check the ingredient lists to make sure you aren't allergic to anything in these herbal hair washes.

ORGANIC INGREDIENTS -

  • Reetha
  • Shikakai (non-organic)
  • Amla
  • Basil
  • Yarrow
  • Kelp
  • Sea Buckthorn
  • Marshmallow

I don’t use essential oils in my herbal hair washes. Some herbs have stronger scents than others when dried! If you enjoy stronger aromatic scents you may prefer these blends:

  • Juniper + Ginger,
  • Peppermint + Lavender
  • Rosemary + Sage
  • Less aromatic blends include Chamomile + Rose

This tin contains 15-30+ washes depending on your hair type.

    I recommend this product

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!! ❤️

We only use messy magic hair care now! It’s a two in one hair care. I wouldn’t recommend any other hair care. It’s nurturing your head, hair & scalp while also feeling good about what your letting go down your drain into the water system. Will be a customer for life!

I've had nothing but great experiences with Messy Magic Herbal Shampoo/Conditioner. I especially like how the yarrow and basil blend feels on my scalp. I have sensitive skin, and thick, oily hair that is often difficult to maintain. It can be really difficult for me to find shampoo that fully cleanses my hair and doesn't irritate my scalp.\n\nAmanda takes a lot of care when putting together these herbal blends. The yarrow and basil blend makes my hair feel so clean, and soft, without stripping my hair of its natural oils. The day after using it, I realized how much this shampoo helps bring out my natural volume. My scalp feels great - the medicinal properties of the herbs are really helpful for my sensitive skin!\n\nOverall, I really love this product and highly recommend it! I will definitely be buying again.

So amazing, wish i found it long long ago. My hair feels fuller and gets plenty clean. I use a Wet Brush as suggested by the owner/creator of the shop. Thank you!
